Dental Implants

Dental implants are artificial teeth replacements that closely resemble natural teeth. They look and feel very natural. They hold crowns just like roots hold natural teeth crowns in place. Implants also can hold bridge work and denture when several teeth are missing. Implants provide much greater stability for more effective eating, speaking and smiling. Unlike a removable denture or bridge, dental implants are firmly fixed to the jaw. Dental implants are made from bio-compatible titanium.
If you lost some teeth, or have ill fitting dentures or want to avoid cutting good teeth to make a bridge, talk to us to find out if implants are suitable for you.

Orthodontics

Orthodontics deals with the correction of irregularities of teeth and jaws. Orthodontic treatment leads to beautiful smiles, improved dental health and enhanced self esteem for people of all ages. Orthodontic problems can result from genetic and/or environmental factors. The case must be properly diagnosed before treatment begins and this usually involves taking photographs, radiographs (x-rays) and dental impressions.
Treatment duration varies from 3 to 24 months, depending on your goals, age and the severity of the orthodontic problem.

Root Canal Treatment (Endodontics)

Root canal treatment involves the removal of the tooth's pulp (tissue in the center of the tooth). After the damaged, diseased or dead pulp is removed, the empty space previously occupied by the pulp is cleaned, shaped and filled. This procedure seals off the root canal. If an infected or dead pulp is left untreated, pus can build up at the root tip in the jawbone, forming an abscess. An abscess can destroy the bone surrounding the tooth and cause pain.

Gum Treatment (Periodontics)

Periodontal diseases range from simple gingivitis to severe periodontitis that leads to major damage to the soft tissue and bone that support the teeth. Teeth are lost in severe cases. Whether your disease is stopped, slowed, or worsened depends on how well you care for your teeth and gums every day.

Symptoms of gum disease are:

  • Bad breath

  • Swollen gums

  • Bleeding gums

  • Pain while chewing

  • Mobile teeth

  • Sensitive teeth

  • Gum recession

Good Breath Treatment:

Bad breath, medically known as Halitosis may result from local causes (inside the mouth) and/or from external causes (from other parts of the body). We can compare the mouth to a box with connections from the top (nose), sides (ears), and back (throat). The throat is connected to the lungs and the gastro-intestinal tract. The source of the bad breath can be from any of the above sources. It is important to identify the source of the bad breath & correct the root cause.

Minor Oral Surgery:

Minor oral surgery ranges from extraction of teeth to surgical removal of impacted wisdom teeth and many other procedures.
